Practice Areas

We provide legal resources, services, and advocacy in three practice areas: Federal Workers’ Compensation (OWCP FECA) (including related third-party claims), Federal Disability Retirement, and Social Security Disability.

We do not handle other matters, and we do not file civil lawsuits.

If you need help filing a civil lawsuit, an Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) claim, or a state workers’ compensation claim, we recommend that you contact the bar association in your state for a contact list of attorneys who can handle your type of legal matter.

OWCP FECA

The Federal Employees’ Compensation Act (FECA) allows federal civilian workers to receive benefits for an injury or illness sustained in the course of federal employment duties. The FECA is administered by the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs (OWCP).

Do you need to file a FECA claim but are unsure how to begin?

Has OWCP denied your FECA claim?

Has OWCP delayed medical treatment authorization?

Have you lost time from work due to a work-related injury?

We can help you navigate an OWCP FECA claim and advocate to ensure your rights are protected.

We also handle third-party claims related to OWCP FECA claims. These matters can be handled together by our office to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and to maximize your benefits.

Federal Disability Retirement

Federal civilian workers who have sustained a disability during years of creditable federal government service can apply for Federal Disability Retirement before age 62.

Are you employed by a federal agency but are working with permanent medical restrictions?

Have you been recently removed from federal service and are wondering what your future benefit options are?

Are you approved for multiple disability programs and want to ensure you’re receiving all applicable benefits?

We can help you file an application for Federal Disability Retirement and provide guidance about your benefit options.

SSDI

We help federal civilian workers apply for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits. SSDI provides disability benefits if a medical condition prevents an individual from performing meaningful work.

Are you unable to perform your full-time, full-duty job due to a medical condition?

Do you have an accepted FECA claim and want to supplement your disability compensation?

Are you applying for Federal Disability Retirement?

We can help you file an application for SSDI and provide guidance about your benefit options.
