Welcome to the Faliero Law Firm Blog

Welcome to Faliero Law Firm’s new blog! Our purpose here is to share helpful information about happenings in our practice areas. We’re here to use our pens (and keyboards) to advocate for legislative and policy changes related to federal employment issues, specifically, federal workers’ compensation. We’re here to talk about intersecting areas of law and policy. We’re here to highlight some of our clients’ stories to spread awareness about what’s really happening to federal workers who have work-related disabilities and injuries. We’re here to provide tips about various federal administrative processes. We’re here to highlight information about our firm, including dates for any upcoming webinars. And most importantly, we’re here to support our nation’s federal workers.

Writing as a Tool for Advocacy

We believe in using writing as a tool for advocacy, and that’s how we came up with our blog’s name, The Right to Words. A play on the “right to work” and “write” vs. “right,” we felt this title best suited those we serve and re-emphasizes our rooted desire to see the federal government treat its employees with dignity and equity under the law. Workers have a right to be treated fairly, and a right to use their voices when they’re not being heard.

Opening Faliero Law Firm

We opened Faliero Law Firm to serve federal workers. Our founder, Christina Faliero, held her first job at 17 years old as an after-school counselor at the same elementary school she attended that sparked her love of writing, reading, and learning. She worked every year through college and law school to support herself and pursued a career in law after being profoundly inspired by a course in college on American civil liberties. Focusing on pro bono work, public policy fellowships, and clinical experiences, Christina developed a toolbox of a skills that equipped her with the capability to adapt to a relatively unknown practice area upon entering the legal profession: federal workers’ compensation. Combining her interests, skillsets, and experiences, Faliero Law Firm was birthed to help federal workers in need, and advocacy writing in further support of federal workers commenced after learning about our clients’ experiences of navigating the often-tumultuous rivers of federal red tape.

We Welcome All

We hope you find our blog useful in any way that it may serve you. We are happy to speak with anyone about our practice areas, including potential new clients, union representatives, physicians, attorneys, or policymakers. We welcome all and prioritize compassionate collaboration. Please also remember that every case is different, and if you need specific legal advice, contact an attorney directly about your specific situation. Thank you for reading, now let’s get to work!
